About this conference
IAC is delighted to announce the Orange County Regional Model UN Conference, held on Sat, Feb 6, 2027 at The Pegasus School! Model United Nations Regional Conferences are open to grades 4–8 with grade-based divisions dependent on the size of the competition — separate committee rooms for grades 7–8 and grades 4–6 (grades 4–5 will likely compete together). Students do not need to qualify and can register directly. Students may compete at any site (including outside their state), but are only eligible to compete in one IAC-organized Regional Conference this year.
Exams
In-Person Regional Qualifying Exams (for the National Science Bee, National History Bee & National Geography Bee) — Free of Charge, during the lunch break National Qualifying Exams — up to 3 may be taken at Model UN Regional Conferences. Available Exams:

Payments may be made online or by check.
Quiz Bowl for All
Students eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch can apply to Quiz Bowl for All (QB4All) for financial aid to cover their conference registration. This organization is separate from International Academic Competitions. Please refer to their website for more information and to apply for assistance. - Morning committee: $85
- Afternoon committee: $85
- Both committees: $125
- Registration deadline: Fri, Jan 22 · 11:59 PM PT: committees close after this
- Tournament day: doors open 8:30 AM · day ends 5:20 PM (Pacific Time)
- NQE exams: can be added until Fri, Feb 5 · 5:00 PM PT
- Committees, before the deadline: full refund minus a $10 processing fee
- Deadline to the Thursday before: 50% refund
- From 12:00 AM ET that Thursday: no refunds
- NQE exams: not refundable, but count as credit for taking them online
