About this tournament
IAC is delighted to announce that the Dallas Metroplex Mathematics Bee will be held on Fri, Nov 6, 2026 at Harmony Science Academy - Plano! This tournament is open to all students in grades K-8 regardless of what state they are located in.
Competition Format
Subject: mathematics — approximately 85% computational and 15% non-computational questions. Divisions: 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th and 4th Grade, and 3rd Grade & Younger, merged as needed by the size of the field. Qualification: competing at a Regional Math Bee qualifies students for the Mathematics Bee at the Middle & Elementary School National Championships.

Quiz Bowl for All
Students eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch can apply to Quiz Bowl for All (QB4All) for financial aid to cover their tournament registration. This organization is separate from International Academic Competitions. Please refer to their website for more information and to apply for assistance. - Grades: 0–8
- Registration deadline: Sun, Oct 25 · 11:59 PM CT: late fees apply after
- Tournament day: doors open 3:30 PM · day ends 7:40 PM (Central Time)
- Late fee window (+$10/bee): closes Mon, Nov 2 · 11:59 PM CT
- Very late fee window (+$25/bee): after Mon, Nov 2, while the waitlist is open: waitlist closes Thu, Nov 5 · 5:00 PM CT, after which contact the tournament director
- Bees: refunded minus $10 per event until Sun, Oct 25 · 11:59 PM CT
- After the registration deadline: no refunds; seats can still be rescheduled to another tournament
- NQE exams: not refundable
